| The birthday boy |
My youngest nephew, Elliot, turned one last Friday, and we celebrated with a family party on Saturday. Cousins, grandparents, and friends all came out to celebrate! And since I try to never pass up an opportunity, I had my camera in little Elliot's face all weekend!
The party colors were so fun and vibrant! My sister and her mother in law, Bernie, made the fabulous decorations, and the always-amazing Mika of
CookieCraft whipped up some "button" cookies for us for the favor jars.
Blythe made Elliot's smash cake and the cute cake pops.
Please keep in mind that these cake pops were only Blythe's second attempt in as many weekends to make cake pops. Not just one flavor, but FOUR!!! She's an extremely talented baker and decorator, and has been told on many occasions that she should hang out the baking "shingle".
I always enjoy shooting first birthday parties, but it's especially fun when it's family.
