Spring Break Scavenger Hunt!!

I am always on the hunt for unique {and low cost} activities to do with Hudson and Carson, and Spring Break is no exception!  Living in South Texas, we have no shortage of fun ways to spend our days, and not all of them have to cost a fortune.  

A couple of weeks ago, RWeThereYet, Mom.com wrote a blog post about great things to do in Austin in the springtime.  One of the activities on the list was a mural scavenger hunt in downtown Austin.  They are actually running a contest for the month of March, and if you complete the hunt, you can maybe win a cool prize!  

Free fun, beautiful day, prizes, a little South By Southwest people watching -

After lunch and a cupcake, we were off to hunt for murals!  South by Southwest (SXSW) is currently in full swing in Austin, which made for a bit walking.  OK - maybe more than a bit...

 

Be prepared to park and walk for some of the murals.  For the ones in the 6th and 7th Street areas, we parked along 8th and Guadalupe at a meter.  

Just wear comfy shoes...

The mural above was a little hidden because it is currently moved off of 6th street.  Just look for the landmarks in the pics on rwethereyetmom.com's website.  You'll find it!

All Pink and Ruffles! {San Antonio Children's Photographer}

I finished out 2012 with these sweet sisters, Kaitlyn and Ava.  Their grandparents were visiting, so we  included them in our mini shoot!

Since mom, Melinda, had me photograph little Ava in November in this blue dress, we got a few of Kaitlyn to complement Ava's.  

 

 I loved all the pink and ruffles.  The girls jumped, danced, laughed, and snuggled with their 

grandparents.

 The girls were all smiles and such good sports on this chilly afternoon!

Beautiful bride, beautiful couple, beautiful day! 

 

 

All the perfect ingredients to a great wedding celebration for Kayla and Miles.  

 

I adored working with Kayla and her mom, Lisa, first on her bridals, then for her wedding to her sweetheart, Miles.

 

 

 The bridal party was a blast to work with (the bridesmaids were all Kayla's sisters) and the ceremony and reception were beautiful. 

 

 There was no doubt that this was an Aggie affair; from the grooms cake, to the groomsmen, to the Aggie fight song at the reception.  A&M was even playing football during the wedding, hence all the groomsmen checking scores every few minutes!

 

 

Congratulations Kayla and Miles - I loved being a part of your special day.
