I am always on the hunt for unique {and low cost} activities to do with Hudson and Carson, and Spring Break is no exception! Living in South Texas, we have no shortage of fun ways to spend our days, and not all of them have to cost a fortune.
A couple of weeks ago, RWeThereYet, Mom.com wrote a blog post about great things to do in Austin in the springtime. One of the activities on the list was a mural scavenger hunt in downtown Austin. They are actually running a contest for the month of March, and if you complete the hunt, you can maybe win a cool prize!
Free fun, beautiful day, prizes, a little South By Southwest people watching -
{Plus a bonus lunch and cupcakes with Aunt B - My sis, Blythe}
Why Not??
Yummy pizza and Garlic knots at Home Slice
Serious cupcakes!
Be prepared to park and walk for some of the murals. For the ones in the 6th and 7th Street areas, we parked along 8th and Guadalupe at a meter.
Just wear comfy shoes...
Awww.... Brotherly .... LOVE?
Beam me up Froggy-looking alien
Carson rocking the Spock signs
The mural above was a little hidden because it is currently moved off of 6th street. Just look for the landmarks in the pics on rwethereyetmom.com's website. You'll find it!
Along the way, we found lots more murals and other fun stuff...
Hudson has his on sausage company - who knew??
If you are up for something different and fun, {and don't mind a little exercise} check out the Rwethereyetmom.com contest.
It was a great way to spend the afternoon!
